It has been two years since Dhanush’s Asuran released in theatres. Today (October 5) is the second anniversary of Asuran. Dhanush, who won the National Award for his performance in the film, took to social media to celebrate the film yet again.
He shared a poster of Asuran and wrote, “Two years of #Asuran #Asuran #sivasami forever grateful #cultclassic.” Directed by Vetri Maaran, the film is based on Poomani’s novel Vekkai,, which is inspired by the Kilvenmani massacre in 1968. The film features Dhanush, Manju Warrier, Teejay Arunasalam, Ammu Abirami, Ken Karunaas, Prakash Raj and Pasupathy in important roles.
