Kannada actresses Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani, who were arrested in the Sandalwood drug case, were produced at the ACMM court in Bengaluru on September 14. After listening to the arguments on both sides, the judge pronounced 14 day judicial custody for both actresses. Ahead of the court session, they were taken for a medical checkup. Also, they were also subjected to COVID-19 test. On September: Ragini Dwivedi’s house was raided and she was arrested by the Crime Branch.
Four days later, Sanjjanaa Galrani’s house was raided and she was arrested too. While Sanjjanaa didn’t co-operate for a dope test initially, Ragini tampered with her test. The doctors took a second test and hair follicle tests which would reveal if they had consumed drugs in the last four to five months.
